In this article, we will discuss how to use Recuva to recover files deleted from the recycle bin.
In the data recovery wizard that opens, select the type of files you want to recover. Recuva offers several options: pictures, music, documents, videos, and others. If you're not sure, select the option All files.
Next, select the location from where the files were deleted. If the files were deleted from the recycle bin, choose the option In the Recycle Bin. If you're not sure or want to scan the entire computer, select I'm not sure.
Click Start to let Recuva begin scanning the selected location. This process may take some time depending on the volume of data and the speed of your computer.
After the scan is complete, Recuva will display a list of all found files. Use filters or the search field to find the needed files. Pay attention to the colored circles next to the files: green means the file is easy to recover, yellow means the file is partially damaged, red means the file is heavily damaged and recovery might be difficult.
Select the files you want to recover by checking the boxes next to them. Click Recover and choose a location to save the recovered files. It’s best to save them to a different drive to avoid overwriting data.
Recuva will then start the recovery process for the selected files. Once completed, check the folder where you saved the files to ensure that the recovery was successful.
